Part of our strategy is to divide the city into geographic areas or “zones” and create cohesive teams of stakeholders who are interested in organizing and promoting cleanups in their areas.

Currently we have 31 zones. We are recruiting zone leaders for each zone.

Zone Leaders will:

  • Work with residents, businesses, churches, schools and other organizations within their zone to develop a cohesive team to address litter/blight on an ongoing basis.
  • Help to organize quarterly large scale clean-up events as well as encourage monthly “block parties” to keep a constant focus on litter.
  • Help to identify areas with code violations, overgrown lots and sidewalks.

If you are interested in becoming a leader for your zone, please contact us.

Clean Memphis also provides community service opportunities for school, church and corporate teams as a way to be involved in the community. Contact us about a community service project for your group or how to “adopt” an area.

Clean Memphis also works with organizations like Wolf River Conservancy, Shelby Farms Park and Mississippi River Corridor to provide clean-up events for our city’s many assets.
